You may remember that one of the kids' gifts to me was a workout video for kids. It's a hilarious video, with a digital bear that exercises alongside the trainer. They really love it, especially with their free weights. Here's a video of their warm-up.

Fantastic Present
The kids received many wonderful presents at Christmas, but none provides as much activity as their new trampoline! They love it, and I love having them expend so much energy!

Snow Days
Last week, as many of you know, the South got a surprising snow storm that lingered in the form of an icy blanket over everything. The ice shut the city down for nearly three days. On that Sunday night, before the snow froze, the kids had a late-night play session outside. So fun!
By the next morning, the snow was frozen.
But luckily we had plenty to keep us busy inside. We did what everyone should do on a snow day -- baked chocolate chip cookies!

End-of-Christmas Videos
Here are a couple videos that I want to share.
The first is of a house near us in Alabama. The neighborhood comes together to decorate and coordinate the light display. It may not blow you away, but it's pretty good for a random house! They even broadcast the music over shortwave radio, so what you're hearing is coming from our van's radio.
This video is from the car ride back to Alabama from Florida. The kids had a great time playing on their own with their new toys. They had been having a great time talking with their new friends (at least 10-12 minutes) when I finally decided to record them. Of course, when I started to record they stopped playing as well, but this is still cute (and funny at the end).

New Year's Eve!
We seem to always be in Lakeland on New Years Eve, and since our anniversary is on New Year Day, my parents are always sweet enough to watch the kids for us so we can go celebrate on our own. Before we left for the evening, we had some relaxing time together.
Later that evening...
Nicole and I had a fun time out, too. If you're looking for a great date spot in Tampa, NoHo Bistro was a hit -- highly recommended (although not in the prettiest part of town). Thanks for the night out, Gido and Gigi!

Christmas at Disney
We've gotten into a bad habit... Florida=Disney! Oh well, it could be worse! While we were in Lakeland, we took a day trip over to Disney Village to enjoy the Christmas cheer and to see one of their newest attractions -- T-Rex Cafe (along with all the other fun things).
After LEGO Land, it was off to the rest of the Village.
Then it was time to meet friends for lunch at Rainforest Cafe.
After lunch, we returned to T-Rex Cafe where Brayden made a T-Rex at the Build-A-Dino store, "where you can make your very own Friendosaur" (it's a Build-A-Bear store with a dino theme). Brayden picked out one of the normal looking dinosaurs, rather than one covered in shiny scales or glittery skin, and named him Rexey (yes, spelled with an "ey").
While we were in T-Rex Cafe, Layne took Nicole to the Princess store to pick out some non-dinosaur goodies.

Princess Layna
We interrupt this string of holiday posts (yes, more holiday posts are on their way) to bring you the cutest princess ever!! Layna was invited to a friend's "princess" birthday party where Cinderella was to be the guest of honor. She was so very excited, especially since she already had a Cinderella costume! On Saturday morning, she got ready by painting her nails with glitter polish (she got at Christmas), getting her hair done into a bun (courtesy of me), and then getting some makeup from mommy! She loved it all!
Even Cinderella herself thought Layna had the best outfit at the party!
(Sorry for the low resolution on that last one ...not my picture)

Fun at the park
While we were in Lakeland, we went to Barnett Family Park, one of the city's newest parks. We met some dear, old friends and their new babies! The kids had a great time (getting out some energy) and the new babies - Mika and Evalise - were so cute! I think Layna would have taken them home if she could...
I'm not sure why I don't have any pictures of Layna. I suppose she wasn't around the camera-lady (aka Gigi).

Caroling
Singing Christmas carols around the piano is a family tradition, and this year the kids got in on the action. This is a cute one!

More Christmas
After Christmas gifts with the Giratas, we joined the Mayos for MORE gifts! Here we go with a quick recap:
Once we were back at Gido and Gigi's house, it was time to put gifts together ...go Super Dad!
Before dinner, it was time for some crafts. Gido got them going!

Christmas in Florida ...finally!
Since it's snowing outside (at least at our house), I'm back in the Christmas spirit! ...and since I have yet to post a TON of Christmas pictures, it's about time to get to it. This post begins a series of posts to catch us up to the present. Get ready!
We headed down to Florida on Christmas Day and celebrated with the Roenicks and then the Giratas. When we got to my parent's house, we had a fun Christmas morning #2, pajamas and all!
