If you didn't know, Nicole has taken a job with Gymboree as the art teacher on Saturdays. That means that not only do I get to spend hours on Friday night cutting random shapes out of construction paper to prepare for her classes, but Brayden gets to play multiple times a week. I realized this morning as we were getting ready for his 12:30p class that I hadn't posted any pictures of him in play. SO, I remedied that. Not only do you get pictures but video, too! Here we go...
I admit that I forgot to take a video during the actual class, but this was good enough. If give you all an idea about Brayden these days, particularly those of you who haven't seen him recently. He's becoming very mobile and has become quite coordinated (even though you can't see a lot of that in this video):
Not only was Brayden playing at Gymboree today, but when we got home we saw pictures of Brayden's cousin (and our Godson), Ethan, playing at his Florida Gymboree. So, just because I can, here are some pictures of Ethan playing hard!

Another trim
Yes, yes, we have another on the way. BUT, even though we enjoyed lots 'o celebrating after the reveal, we still have to maintain #1. So, here's a tribute to one of B's favorite pastimes -- the haircut. This is the second haircut he's received but I can tell he likes it. I suppose it's the same sort of thing that happens when Zoey gets a trim: the know they look good. So good, in fact, that he requested a special spread on the blog just about his hair. It's all about the hair...

Yahoo -- we're pregnant!!
Although this might be old news to many of you, we wanted to celebrate the news on the blog. Things are going well (meaning, nothing unusual!). Nicole's been more sick this go 'round, but she's managing it as best she can. Here's to hoping that it doesn't last much longer!
We have a great set of doctors in Fairfax, VA and plan to have the baby at Fair Oaks Hospital. We've already been twice and here are the first two pictures of little Peanut: Part Deux.
We'll be sharing more as they come, but until then, keep us all in your thoughts and prayers!

In the end, he's a sleepy boy
As with all of us, Brayden loves to sleep. He's such a great kid and is on a great schedule of naps and nighttime sleeping. Here are some examples... this is a video of B before bedtime. As you can tell, he's ready:
And for the icing on the cake, here he is as he's sleeping. Note, this is NOT staged. He's a cool little cat.

Our New England Getaway
Last weekend we tripped up north to Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Nicole and Brayden stayed with James and Dawn, just south of Boston, while I went up to Wolfeboro, NH for Ali's wedding.
Nicole and Brayden had a great time in MA, they went to the New England Aquarium and saw penguins! Brayden gets so excited whenever he sees animals. Here he is playing in the water (often the most exciting part of any aquarium!):
Most of the time, Brayden got to hang out with his new friends, James and Dawn. He tooled all over their house (and "played with" their dog, Joey... yes, very close to Zoey).
...and, we went to get ice cream (hello, it was HOT!)...
While they were playing down in MA, I went up to Wolfeboro, NH to attend (and officiate) Ali and Krystal's wedding. They had it at the Wolfeboro Inn, a beautiful inn right on Lake Winnipesaukee. It was beautiful! With this heat wave in DC, I wish I were back up there where the sun was simply bright, not steaming hot! Anyway, here we are at the wedding...
...and at the reception. Here's a group of fraternity brothers in attendance.

A couple days
It's been awhile since I posted, but things have been busy!! In fact, we're leaving tomorrow morning to trek up to MA/NH to visit friends and for me to be in a friend's wedding. It's going to be great! In fact, we're taking our new car for a "road test" and I'm looking forward to it.
Anyway, back to the reason you're here -- Brayden! He's on a great sleeping schedule. So great, that if we're a little late feeding him lunch, he doesn't wait... take a look at this: in the MIDDLE of lunch! Look at the food in his hand!
Too funny.
A few days ago, Gido sent Brayden some new shoes! He loved both pairs so much, he couldn't decide which ones to wear! So...
Thanks, Gido!
